Determine What #ActuallySheCan Do At 'The World's Kindest Triathlon'
The best way to beat the Monday merps is to plan your weekend.
What's that? Need weekend plans, you say? And you don't wanna do the same old boring thing?
Well, word on the street is there's a little something exciting coming to town.
In case you haven't stumbled upon the greatness of #ActuallySheCan, here's a tidbit:
#ActuallyShe is a movement that celebrates female ambition and champions the goals of the millennial generation. #ActuallySheCan praises millennial women for their successes and encourages them to believe in their individual and collective potential. Supporters of the campaign include Lo Bosworth, Lea Michele and iJustine.
With that in mind, SIGN ME UP for Saturday, right?!
Eight hours of empowering and athletic experiences, including a roughly 5K run (which is totally doable, by the way, even if you haven't donned a pair of tennies since frosh year of college), a dance party, upbeat outdoor yoga, a guided meditation, acroyoga, slackline, hula hooping, and live music. This time, the objective is all about good vibes shared with good people.
With buzzwords floating around like "personal ambitions," "self-awareness," "inner peace," and "self-acceptance," and bonuses like a finish-line cheer squad and a trampoline encouraging you to "Bounce Back From Anything," you know it's gonna be a good day.
Because trampolines always equal F-U-N.
The Miami stop is part of the campaign's larger tour, which kicked off in Atlanta's Piedmont Park last weekend, which is what you're seeing in these pics here (Hurricane Joaquin, be damned).
And for the rest of you looking to get your empowerment on in a chaturanga, the national tour continues... Next up, Nashville on November 1 before it swings down to Houston the following week on November 7.
