How to Wear Green For St. Patrick’s Day at the Office

How lucky we all are that St. Patrick’s Day landed on a Friday this year!

For many of us, that means going to work in the morning and heading straight to the pub at the end of the day.

And while every boss lady should enjoy a night out sometimes, it’s also extremely important to remember we still have to work before grabbing that pint of green beer with the girls.

So how does one dress for this festive holiday without looking like a hot mess at work?

1.) Try to pick shades of green that compliment your skin tone.

If you don’t know your natural skin tone, remember that skin tone is grouped into three categories: warm, cool and neutral.

For a great guide to determine your skin tone, read more here.

If your natural skin tone is warm, try to find something to wear in moss or olive.

For our cooler ladies, stick to shades of emerald.

And if you cannot figure figure out whether you are cool or warm and end up being neutral, look for pieces in jade or cameo green.

2.)  Mix it up with accessories.

For those ladies who aren’t exactly allowed to walk around in bright green and orange at the workplace, there are accessories!

Feel free to wear a neutral dress or blouse and add touches of green in your accessories to secretly bring out your inner Irish.

We suggest this fancy jasper and gold bracelet set from Jaimie Nicole.

3.) Simply wear a neutral shade of green, white or orange.

Just because it’s St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t mean you need to look like the Lucky Charms Leprechaun.

Keep it classy and stick to a neutral shade of the day’s colors that can be dressed up or dressed down.
