Launching: Bobbi Brown’s New Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge for International Women’s Day

ICYMI, International Women’s Day is coming up this Sunday, March 8, 2015. To celebrate, cosmetics powerhouse Bobbi Brown is launching the third installment of The Pretty Powerful Campaign for Women & Girls today, which she started back in January 2010. Now, it’s a full-fledged philanthropic project to empower women and girls through education.

“Pretty Powerful is a campaign that focuses on confidence,” says Bobbi Brown. “And nothing makes a women or girl feel more confident than being educated and having the knowledge and skills to better her life, and the love of her family and community members.”

Wanna get involved? Of course you do, and Bobbi has created a beautiful way for you to do so: Her Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge in a limited-edition shade, Pretty Powerful II ($27).

Bobbi chose a “universally flattering” hue of bright pink, and went a bit darker than her last Pretty Powerful Pink Pot Rouge, which skewed baby pink. For the record, we’re totally on board with that, as our tan skin requires a bit more color to pop.

We loved layering this on lips (about three or four times, to be exact) to build what may be the most perfect shade of true pink we’ve ever rocked (and we don’t really like pink, so that’s saying something).

On cheeks, we kept it light, applying one layer with our fingers and blending in with our blush brush. On cheeks, a little goes a long way for that brightened-up, Hollywood-legend feminine appearance.

We determined we’d use the Pot Rouge on lips or cheeks, not together—we’re not the matchy-matchy type. But it’s totally doable if you’re into that sorta thing.
